True Sport Child Safeguarding Workshop |
This week SportWest hosted the inaugural True Sport AU Child Safeguarding Interactive Workshop.
Proudly supported by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, this interactive workshop was specifically designed for State Sport Associations to assist organisations in getting started with utilising the True Sport Child Safeguarding resources.
The workshop was at full capacity with 25 representatives from various sports working in collaboration to increase their understanding of the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations. Sports were guided to start to identify their next steps through completing the True Sport self-assessment and action plans.
Thank you to those who attended the workshop and look out for more workshops in 2024 to assist sports to utilise these important resources. We all have a role to play in keeping children and young people safe! |
