Women of Sport Program Launches

Women of Sport Program Launches

This week marked an inspiring start to the Women of Sport Program with our Emerging and Senior Leaders Masterclasses, led by the incredible Carol Fox. The room was buzzing with high energy as participants eagerly shared their stories and got involved in the interactive sessions.

Participants learned how to communicate with confidence, using reframing tools to shift perspectives and tackle challenges positively. The sessions emphasised the importance of understanding different communication styles, including the impact of tone, gestures, and speed. Carol provided the group with some impromptu speaking techniques to help them think on their feet and addressed the need to recognise and transform limiting narratives that can hinder personal and professional growth.

Thank you to Carol for leading such empowering sessions and to all the amazing participants for your enthusiasm and openness. Here's to a future of confident and impactful leadership in the sports industry.

Victoria University Volunteer Survey

Australian Community Sport Volunteer | Victoria University

Volunteers have an important role in promoting a community sport environment that is safe, positive and nurturing for all children. Victoria University researchers are seeking survey responses from adults who volunteer in children’s community sport to better understand their current capability, opportunity, and motivations to recognise and respond to abuse of children in sport.

If you are 18 years or older and working in community sport you are invited to participate in this study and complete an online survey. The survey will take approximately 15-30 minutes. Please click on the following link to find out more about the project and consider participating in the survey.
