Registrations are now open for the Talent Development Environments and Capability, Capacity and Evidence Informed Practices online workshop series.
In alignment with the broader Creating Progressive Development Environments and Experiences education series, these four workshops facilitated by Dr. Alex Lascu will help state sporting associations improve their understanding of pathway development in sport.
Talent Development Environments
A knowledge generating and sharing session, where participants reflect on the principles that underpin their own unique environments, comment on principles from scientific research, and explore solutions to the biggest challenges in this space.
Workshop 1: Monday 30 June 2025, 5.00pm to 6.00pm (WST)

Capability and Capacity + Evidence Informed Practices
A knowledge generating and sharing session centred on what ‘evidence’ means and how it may inform practice, as well as how sporting organisations can effectively leverage their capacity and seek opportunities for improving capability. Alongside a pulse check on each topic within the unique context of each sport, this session will generate ideas for how to address knowledge and/or practice gaps, where to find (or grow) valuable and reliable information and learn from the vast experience of the sector.
Workshop 3: Monday 28 July 2025, 5.00pm to 6.00pm (WST)
Workshop 4: Wednesday 20 August 2025, 5.00pm to 6.00pm (WST)
