Who will be the winner of the inaugural Sport Initiative of the Year?
|
The Sport Initiative of the Year award recognises the work of individuals, clubs, teams, groups or organisations (including SSAs) who have succeeded in enabling more people to participate in sport activities within their community.
The finalists for the inaugural award, as determined by the Community Sport Selection Panel, are: WA Football Concussion Management Initiative (Australian Rules Football), Team Connect (Cricket) and WA Cricket Foundation (Cricket).

The Coaching and Officiating Grants Program provides financial support to assist state sporting associations (SSAs) to develop and implement sustainable strategies and initiatives that support and develop new and existing coaches and officials in WA.

100 Years of Netball WA
|
In 2024, Netball WA is celebrating 100 years as the governing body of the sport in Western Australia.
Throughout the year, Netball WA will celebrate and recognise critical milestones which have been crucial to the success of the game in this State.
Part of the celebrations include a book which will dive deep into the rich history of West Australian Netball from the early 1920s eight through to the maiden West Coast Fever premiership in 2022.

Child Safeguarding Workshop

You are invited to attend the True Sport Child Safeguarding Workshop where you will have the opportunity to better understand the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations (National Principles) and consider the work your SSA is already doing to implement each National Principle and identify your next focus areas.
This workshop is for WA State Sport Associations (SSAs). SSAs are recommended to identify their most appropriate staff member(s) and/or volunteer(s) to attend this interactive workshop

Mental Health and Wellbeing Workshop

Register for our upcoming True Sport Mental Health and Wellbeing Workshop at SportHQ.
This workshop will help State Sporting Association staff to embed True Sport – Mental Health and Wellbeing resources within their sporting context and become Mental Health Champions.
Participants will learn skills appropriate for a sport administrator to respond to mental health issues and help promote positive mental health and wellbeing outcomes.
