The WA Sports Industry is thriving with exceptional Sports Administrators, Volunteers, Officials, Athletes and supporters! Let's recognize and honour the trailblazers who paved the way for future generations, the athletes who compete with heart and determination, and the coaches, mentors, and supporters who champion women's involvement in sports at every level.

Today, on International Women's Day, SportWest is thrilled to announce the successful application for funding from the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries to increase the delivery the Women of Sport Network to the WA Sporting Industry. 

This program will provide dedicated networking and educational opportunities to Women working and Volunteering within Sport. The program will target specific cohorts of the industry, creating tailored support to their current level.

Women of Sport Network IWD Sports Forum

The Women of Sport Network in partnership the DLGSC invites you to join us for the 2024 International Women's Day Sport Forum. The topic for this years IWD is Count Her In: Invest In Women. Accelerate Progress.

Count Her In will examine the pathways to greater economic inclusion for women and girls everywhere. While important progress has been made, women face significant obstacles to achieving equal participation in the economy. Without equal access to education, employment pathways, financial services, and literacy, how can we ever hope to reach gender equality?

This year will see a keynote address by Cassandra Winzar, CEDA Chief Economist. Following this address will be a panel Q&A with leaders from Sport and Business.
