Women of Sport Network Advisory Group | Expression of Interest

SportWest is seeking expressions of interest for up to two SportWest members to join the Women of Sport Network (WoSN) Advisory Group.


The purpose of the WoSN Advisory Group is to provide recommendations and information to SportWest regarding the direction and activities of the WoSN, and to guide SportWest on gender related matters and advocacy.


The WoSN will deliver dedicated networking and educational opportunities to women working and volunteering within sport in Western Australia.

SportWest Connect – Executive | Impact & Legacy

It's been an enormous 16-month period for Football in Australia. The FIFA Men's World Cup in late 2022 was followed by a FIFA Women's World Cup at venues around Australia including Perth. The Matildas had success in Olympic Qualifiers in Perth to coincide with the official opening of the Sam Kerr Football Centre.


This session will delve into the local impact resulting from these events and how Football West is intending to build a local legacy for the game in Western Australia.

RAP Ready

RAP Ready is Reconciliation WA’s free and accessible forum to support organisations commencing or continuing their Reconciliation Action Plan journey. The sessions alternate between online and in-person events.


RAP Ready is a guide for organisations progressing their reconciliation journey and offers the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and organisations in Western Australia’s reconciliation community. Everyone has a role to play in reconciliation, and everyone is welcome.

Applications for the Albanese Government’s $200 million Play Our Way program are now open – supporting local governments and community, not-for-profit and sporting organisations to deliver projects that make sport more welcoming and equitable for women and girls.This Grant Opportunity aims to address the barriers women and girls face when participating in sport and physical activity by delivering quality facilities and sport participation experiences where the need is greatest, and in a manner that is safe, equitable, accessible, inclusive, sustainable and enduring.

True Sport | Sideline Behaviour Re-Launch

SportWest is thrilled to announce the relaunch of its True Sport Sideline Behaviour Marketing Campaign, aimed at promoting positive sportsmanship and respectful behaviour among spectators. 


In a world where sportsmanship can sometimes take a backseat to competitiveness, SportWest remains committed to fostering an environment where respect, fairness, and integrity prevail both on and off the field. 


The re-launch of the campaign is timely, as we head into the Winter sporting season. By reigniting the True Sport Sideline Behaviour Marketing Campaign, SportWest seeks to address these challenges head-on and promote a culture of positivity and respect within sports.

True Sport Child Safeguarding: Aligning the National Integrity Framework with National Principles for Child Safe Organisations.

Join us as we explore how these frameworks converge to ensure the safety of children in sporting environments. In this session, we'll delve into the link between the National Integrity Framework (NIF) and the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations. We'll discuss how the NIF aligns with these principles, highlighting areas of overlap and emphasising the importance of comprehensive safeguarding measures.


Our webinar aims to provide clarity on policy implementation, stressing that having a policy document is not enough; action is crucial to uphold the principles and ensure safeguarding measures are put into practice.


Addressing frequently asked questions, we'll guide Sporting Organisations/SSAs on where to begin their safeguarding journey, whether with True Sport Child Safeguarding information, the NIF policy, or both, and how these resources can be effectively leveraged together.
