From Self-Doubt to Self-Confidence: Building Self-Trust from the Inside Out
|
|
Self-doubt can hold even highly capable people back from speaking up, pursuing opportunities, stepping into leadership or taking the next big step. But self-confidence isn't something we need to wait for. It's something we can build and strengthen.
In this practical and reflective workshop, you'll explore the thoughts and stories that fuel self-doubt, uncover the evidence of your own capability, and learn how to strengthen self-trust and self-confidence. You'll work through practical strategies to shift your inner narrative from "I'm not confident" to "I can figure this out" and build the courage and confidence to give anything a go.
The goal of this workshop isn't to eliminate self-doubt or become fearless. It's to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and give you the strategies to know how to strengthen the courage and confidence to step forward, even when you don't have all the answers.

Plastic Free Riverpark Program | Grant Applications Now Open
|
|
The Plastic Free Riverpark Program partners with riverfront events, food and beverage businesses, sporting organisations and local governments to reduce single use packaging, particularly plastic packaging, within the Swan Canning Riverpark.
Since its inception, the program has supported more than 120 events and businesses to eliminate 3.2 million single use food and beverage packaging items from their operations and supply chains, backed by more than $370,000 in grant funding.
The program supports food and beverage businesses, commercial operators, sporting organisations and venues located within two kilometres of the Swan Canning Riverpark to reduce or eliminate single use packaging and service ware. Initiatives such as reusable cup exchange programs, water refill stations and improved waste station signage help reduce litter and prevent it from entering our rivers and waterways. |

Australia's Top Dog Sport Competitors Descend on Perth
|
|
This weekend, Perth will host the 2026 WDFA Black Hound IGP National Championship, with competitors and their dogs travelling from across Australia to test their skills at the highest level of the sport.
SportWest Member Ironside Dog Sports are the hosts, with the championship underway today (Fri 21 Aug) and running through to Sunday, showcasing the discipline, precision and partnership that define working dog competition.
Spectators are welcome to attend and experience the action firsthand at South Coogee Reserve, where teams will compete across the three phases of tracking, obedience and protection in pursuit of national honours. Whether you're a dog sport enthusiast or simply curious to see elite working dogs in action, the championship offers a unique opportunity to witness some of Australia's best handlers and dogs compete under pressure. |

This is your opportunity to share your ideas, influence decisions that affect young people in sport, connect with the WA sporting sector, and help shape the future of sport in Western Australia.
We're keen to hear from young people from First Nations, culturally and linguistically diverse, disability, regional and remote communities, as well as girls and women, and those involved in sport as participants, athletes, volunteers, coaches, officials and leaders.

The Digital Sidelines: Cyberbullying and online hate in young people’s sport

Digital spaces are part of young people’s sport. It’s how they connect with teammates and their sporting community. But just as harmful behaviour can occur in-person at sport, it can also occur online. Cyberbullying and online hate targeting young people in sport can be complex and challenging for sport clubs to manage.
This 45 minute webinar will support sport leaders, coaches and managers to encourage positive online conduct, protect young people, and reinforce the values that make sport safe and inclusive for everyone.
