Blind Sports WA | Let's Get Visible
|
Blind Sports WA’s Let’s Get Visible program is building the future of inclusive sport in Western Australia. Designed for children aged 5–15 who are blind or vision impaired, the program creates genuine entry points into physical activity and community sport.
Delivered weekly across Mandurah, Cockburn and Joondalup, sessions focus on strength, balance and adapted sports. Activities are modified to remove barriers, ensuring children of all ability levels can participate confidently. Programs are led by qualified exercise and movement professionals, modelling best practice in accessible sport delivery.
Beyond skill development, Let’s Get Visible strengthens social connections, builds independence, and supports long-term participation pathways in blind and vision-impaired sport. For many participants, this is their first positive experience of structured sport.
Proudly supported by Telethon, the eight-week term program includes a free Come and Try session (registration essential), helping families connect early and confidently with community sport.
BSWA welcomes collaboration with State Sporting Associations and industry partners committed to ensuring sport in WA is inclusive for all

Menta Health Champions Network Workshop | Managing Stress & Burnout in Sport
|
Community and high-performance sport environments are demanding. Coaches, volunteers, and leaders often operate under sustained pressure, including performance expectations, limited resources, time strain, travel, selection decisions and stakeholder scrutiny. Over time, unmanaged stress can lead to burnout, conflict, disengagement and reduced performance.
This practical workshop focuses on recognising early warning signs of stress and burnout in sporting environments and building proactive strategies to sustain performance, wellbeing and a healthy culture.
