Inspiring Women Series: Session 1 | Building Connections and Leading with Impact

SportWest are thrilled to launch the Inspiring Women Series with special guest Caitlin Bassett – sports commentator, broadcast journalist, and former elite netballer. With her decorated 17-year career that includes captaining the Australian Diamonds, winning two World Championships, a Commonwealth Games gold medal, and back-to-back Super Netball premierships, Caitlin brings a wealth of lived experience in performing and leading at the highest level.

Since retiring in 2021, Caitlin has made an impact off the court, working in athlete wellbeing and development with The Western Force. Drawing on her career in media and a Graduate Certificate in Counselling, she supports elite athletes in navigating their career, education, and personal growth.

Following Caitlin’s inspiring keynote, participants will take part in a practical session on the importance of building a strong support network and embracing opportunities, even before you feel fully ready. You’ll explore how connection, community, and self-belief are an essential foundation for developing as a confident and effective leader. Whether you're beginning your journey or ready to take the next step, this session will equip you with the tools and motivation to lead with purpose.

Disability Inclusion Accreditation for Community Sports Clubs - Seeking EOIs

Inclusion Solutions are inviting State Sporting Associations and Local Government Authorities to be part of the WIN project - an initiative supporting your local sports clubs on their journey towards inclusion.

Developed and co-designed by people with disability, the Welcoming Inclusive Network (WIN) project will give clubs access to our Inclusion Consultants and WIN framework who will provide free, thorough and in-person assessments of community sports clubs to guide clubs to improve their disability inclusion. We will continue to support these clubs till June 2026.

Clubs who reach certain score benchmarks will be awarded a bronze, silver or gold WIN Badge, showing potential members and their community that this is a club environment where you can belong.
Expressions of interest close Friday, June 6.

If you have any questions, please reach out to Adam Popham at adamp@inclusionsolutions.org.au
