Resource Spotlight | National Principle 7 |
|
Today, let's explore the next resource in the True Sport Child Safeguarding Spotlight Series: National Principle 7: Staff and volunteers are equipped with the knowledge, skills and awareness to keep children and young people safe through ongoing education and training.
One of the key action areas of this principle includes training and supporting staff and volunteers to effectively implement their State Sporting Association's child safety and wellbeing policy.
One way to start to implement this principle could be to provide ongoing professional development/training to support ongoing responsiveness to, and application of, child safe and friendly practices within the SSA and address any identified gaps in knowledge or understanding.
Thanks to the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, our True Sport resources are here to help! Click here for more information on National Principle 7 or contact our True Sport team truesport@sportwest.com.au |
